Longs Peak Hospital Foundation

We improve lives.

Our not-for-profit hospitals focus on investing resources to improve the lives of our families, friends and neighbors in the Longmont area. Our foundation helps provide value-added services not covered by insurance.

Through the generosity of individual, corporate, and foundation donors, as well as through public grant funding, Longs Peak Hospital Foundation provides funding to support innovative research and education, patient financial assistance, community health programs, and enhancements to patient care.

Private donations from community members enable us to bridge gaps in services, accelerate advances in health care, and help thankful patients and families express gratitude. Many critically important services offered for UCHealth patients and families in the Longmont area would not exist without private donations made through the foundation.

100% of every donated dollar goes to the foundation’s philanthropic funds, with no overhead costs or administrative fees.

Ventilated and running for office. Not exactly.

Even though Wendell Young’s friends felt helpless when he was on a ventilator, they believed he would make it. They made Wendell for Mayor t-shirts. They also provided meals, transportation and emotional support to Wendell’s family.

On March 30, 2021, Wendell and his wife, Dr. Lisa Young, were at home. Lisa, a UCHealth audiologist, went into high gear when she realized that Wendell’s breathing was severely struggling. He had been diagnosed with COVID-19 the day before. Even though Wendell had oxygen at home, he significantly worsened on April 1. He was coughing up blood and Lisa took him back to Longs Peak Hospital where he stayed for 11 days, eight of which he was connected to a ventilator.

Healthy Hearts Career Fair

The fair allowed students to talk to health care professionals to learn about all the different health care careers which included physicians, nurses, pharmacists, radiology, nutritionists, therapists, etc.
