Philanthropic support helps lab serve more patients
New equipment purchased through donor generosity is helping Longs Peak Hospital’s pathology laboratory meet the rising demand for its services.
Generosity helps provide comfort for lymphedema patients
Through funds made available by our donors’ generosity, purchases were made to help the Longs Peak Hospital lymphedema clinic continue to bring patients the highest level of care. First, a table that makes lymphedema therapy easier to perform and more comfortable for patients was acquired. Next, dollars from the foundation’s Patient Assistance Fund were used to purchase compression sleeves for low-income patients.
Scholarships transform lives and communities
In the two years since Longs Peak Hospital Foundation was established, the generosity of private donors and community business partners has contributed to a total of $44,525 in awards to 32 dedicated and top-performing hospital employees.
Free seminar helps parents talk to kids about dangers of vaping
Teen vaping is a growing public health issue. One way you can fight it is to communicate candidly with the kids in your life about the risks involved with vaping. A free information fair at Longs Peak Hospital in January is offering resources and information to help.
Teach them young
Learning the importance of giving starts young. Parker and Naya, children of Longs Peak Hospital’s Dr. Devin Rickett, set up a lemonade stand outside their home and raised $100, which they donated to the foundation's patient assistance fund.
Phototherapy for babies with jaundice
Donor contributions to the foundation’s Women & Children’s Care Fund recently made an impact, providing two biliblankets for Longs Peak Hospital’s special care nursery. These blankets provide phototherapy to treat babies who have jaundice.
Generosity-themed event honors donors and scholars
The foundation held its second annual donor appreciation and scholarship celebration Oct. 15 at the Fox Hill Club in Longmont.
