Patients express gratitude for ‘Guardian Angels’

We often are asked by our patients, “How can I say thank you to the people who made a difference while I was in the hospital?” Longs Peak Hospital Foundation offers the Grateful Patient Program as a way for patients and their families to do just that.

When a grateful patient nominates a care provider as a Guardian Angel, the recognition leaves a lasting impact. A Guardian Angel donation supports our mission and goals while uplifting a care provider with a pin, a certificate and kudos from their leaders and peers.

We value the relationships built between our patients and their care teams, and we cherish moments when that connection grows into generosity.

A patient looking for a way to thank a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) donated to our Greatest Needs fund.

“CRNA Megan was friendly, intelligent and validating,” the patient said. “While she kindly prepared me for a procedure, we talked, and it felt like visiting with a new friend. She worked well with her colleagues and made my experience very comfortable.”

The foundation is honored to play a part in helping patients and families express gratitude as part of their journey toward healing.
