Scholarships awarded

UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital Foundation has awarded 13 employees funds for higher education through the 2023-2024 Employee Scholarship Program. The following employees were recognized:

Morganne Brown, Amy Dickerson, Saronda Doering, Kelsey Hericks, Mason Horton, Jamal Jamil, Brandy Johnson, Adam Jordan, Jessica Liberatore, Piotr Malinowski, Angel Matten, Mercedes Salazar, and Brittany Spomer.

Private donors, community business partners, and many UCHealth employees contributed $31,000 in awards to the dedicated and top-performing employees.

The scholarship program helps high-caliber workforce members achieve their personal goals, advance the professional leadership of the UCHealth system, and ultimately provide an exceptional care experience for patients, many of whom live in the Longmont and Broomfield areas.

Scholarships are available to support permanent and relief employees’ academic pursuits toward certification, licensure, associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. Ashley Kasprzak, UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital Foundation Manager, said, “With the cost of living increasing in Colorado, I believe it is vitally important for us to build up healthcare workers. By supporting their educational dreams, we incentivize them to stay in our community and ensure excellent local healthcare provided at our hospitals and clinics. We are seeking support for employees’ higher education and continuing education. Those interested in building up healthcare workers can visit our website.”
