Board member spotlight: Elena Sandoval-Lucero

Oct 14, 2020

The foundation is fortunate to have community leaders, executives, volunteers and a highly qualified and talented staff devoting time and energy to sustaining our mission for a healthier community. Today we shine our spotlight on board member Elena Sandoval-Lucero, who joined the board in 2018.

As vice president of Front Range Community College, Boulder County Campus, Elena represents the college throughout the county. She holds a doctorate in educational leadership and innovation from CU-Denver and has more than 25 years of experience in higher education. She teaches, presents, researches, and publishes about the field of higher education.

As an educator, Elena is passionate about helping students achieve success. She views her work with the foundation as another opportunity to help people thrive.

“People have many different goals, hopes and dreams,” Elena said. “We each define success differently. However, regardless of what your goals are, and how you define success, nothing can be achieved without good health. It is essential if you want to lead a truly successful life.”

We are grateful for the vision and expertise Elena brings to helping the foundation fulfill its mission to improve lives.
